1-2 hours per week. Learners will be expected to practice and continue to work on their individual projects outside of this class and bring new questions to the next class.Class Experience
Class Experience Every week for 55 minutes, students will learn how to create short videos for YouTube or to share with family and friends. Additionally students will learn and implement a handful of the basic keyboard shortcuts for efficient video editing. Students will also get the opportunity to request specific skills to learn in the class and will also be able to share previous video editing work that has been pre-approved by the teacher. These ongoing classes DO NOT build on each other, so feel free to enroll and attend when available. If your learner has ZERO editing experience, please reach out to me so we can setup iMovie classes 1, 2, and 3 before joining this ongoing class. Here is an overview of what to expect in the upcoming sessions in this ongoing class. If you don't have an Apple/Mac Computer and still want to learn video editing, reach out to me as I have other options. Teaching Material and Style During each class, I will be asking the students questions to find out their goals and interests. Because this is an ongoing class meeting every week and because video projects can take a long time to finish, I expect the same students to keep coming back and working through their projects together. I aim to have a balance between learning and having fun. Since my experience video editing is mostly in iMovie and Movavi I am able to give instruction and guidance on these software programs. If you are looking to learn with a different program, you can find other teachers with those offerings.
Learning Goals
The learning goal for this club is for students to gain a working knowledge of efficient video editing on iMovie.
