Parental Guidance
Parents are always encouraged to research books their children will be reading. The C.S. Lewis series does have Christian themes, but these themes will not be taught as a part of the class. Please note that some of these are on the banned book list. Some parents may object to them. Feel free to skip any week that you don't want your child to read.

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach all subject areas for elementary age students. I have been an elementary school teacher for the last fourteen years. I have taught Third and Fourth grades. I also have experience in Kindergarten and First grades during my student teaching. I have a BS in Early Childhood Education (P-4), as well as a MS in Library Media and Informational Technology(K-12). I am currently certified in the state of Arkansas in both areas.

Learning should be an adventure! I strive to reach students using a variety of learning methods, while making lessons interesting for students. My hope is that students will want to learn more after a lesson with me.

Here is a little information about me. I'm a mother of two. I enjoy many outdoor activities, reading, writing, and playing with my pets. Make sure and ask me about some of the crazy pets I have owned!

If you have any questions about a course, or availability, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!
