Description

Class Experience

During these lessons students will learn, try, apply and connect with coding as we learn to code a program. We delves into the meaning of coding and how to use it with weekly challenges. Students will learn coding and programming skills such as how to use Commands, Functions, Loops and Variables. This class works with limited reading, as we use pictures to code our characters. However, the coding concepts are transferable.

I am a qualified elementary teacher with 6 years of classroom experience. I have been a leader in teaching technology in schools during this time. This lesson has been taken directly from my classroom experience.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Code.org

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

We will be using Code.org during this lesson. Students can create a login for this website, but it is not essential.
