In this ongoing course your learners will learn how to write strong sentences and paragraphs by creating an interactive notebook.
Class experience
US Grade 3 - 4
In this step by step writing program your learner will learn how to form super sentences and powerful paragraphs through explicit teaching and putting together an interactive notebook. We will meet 1 time per week. This class uses Rockin Resources Step by Step Writing Program. Each lesson will have: - a mini lesson (taught with google slides and mentor texts) -an interactive notetaking experience with the learners own writer's notebook binder -modeling of the skill -individual writing...

Students will have a good foundation of writing in complete sentences and writing paragraphs.
I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and 16 years of experience teaching a variety of ages and subjects, including reading and writing. I have completed the Reading Simplified Academy Training provided by Reading Simplified.com.
Homework Offered
After some of the lessons there will be practice worksheets and writing to be completed independently.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will be provided with a paragraph writing rubric to self assess their own writing.Grades Offered
-1/2 inch binder -lined paper (about 20 sheets) -weekly printouts (posted weekly in the classroom) -scissors -glue STICK (NOT a bottle of glue) -scotch tape -colored pencils -pencil
Learners will need to use scissors to cut out and paste the interactive notebook binder pages. Please provide a glue STICK and NOT a bottle of glue.
