In this ongoing horse judging refresher, learners will have the opportunity to judge different classes of horses each week, competing against their peers to gain more experience and expertise to sharpen their skills.

In this ongoing course, we will meet once a week to sharpen our horse judging skills. We will judge a variety of classes, each week having a short refresher on the basics of horse judging, which will work perfect as kids pop in and out and join as they can - the perfect class for summer months! Participants will be encouraged to work on diversifying their terminology, their oral and written reasons as well as their placing skills. We will work together to understand why horses are placed the way they are and learn to be detailed in our reasons and confident in our placings. This is a very "hands on" class, as learners are encouraged to talk, share and work together to determine the most ideal placings. As more learners join, we will divide class into "teams" and compete against one another. The perfect class for competitive kids! This course will always be on Mondays, with topics rotating weekly. As the class goes on, learners will be encouraged to come up with topics for the following week, and I will organize classes as such. This course is student led, learners decide the week prior what we will be judging the following week. September 14 - Arabian Stallions
Learning Goals
This class is meant as a refresher, for learners to keep their interest and continue challenging their skills to sharpen their expertise. Learners will consistently be challenged to step up the pace with their skill set in oral and written reasons as well as terminology.
