Class Experience

***Each section of the class will require at least 3 students to open. Class will be cancelled when the minimum number is not met.

This is an ongoing SOCIAL gathering for Japanese language learners to collaborate and mingle in English and Japanese to collaboratively work out a solution. Students will play games in style of Among Us, or a survival game to work out the solution in order to stay alive. Students are to earn enough points by answering questions correctly as fast as you can to use the tools provided by each game format to survive.

There are level-specific sections, so please check and see which section you should sign up for.
Learning Hiragana- basic vocabulary// Monday 1:45PM Central Time
Learning Kanji- // Coming soon
The rest of the sections will be decided according to where everyone's level is.

Each week, students will be playing a game to assess how much they know Japanese words or how fast they can recall the words. .
***This is a gathering where you play games with the knowledge you have as a Japanese learner. If you're learning from Duolingo, great! If you have another Outschool sensei you're learning from, great! This is a gathering for anyone who is learning Japanese.

I will be there as a facilitator of the board and conversation, answering any questions students may have on grammar and expression in chat in Japanese. Students are encouraged to use two browsers, or two devices at the meeting, so an online dictionary is always at hand.
Learning Goals
Students will strengthen their ability to recall vocabulary, converse on impromptu topics, and become comfortable speaking the target language while mingling with fellow Japanese language learners.

Parental Guidance
We only use Gimkit game while we are in class. Students will go to https://www.gimkit.com/join and type in a class code to join the game together with everyone in the class. No apps or anything else is required.
Supply List
If you are using an iPad, please learn how to use split screen BEFORE the class. It would be unfair to other students if I had to use the gathering time to guide you through the technical how-to.
