Update #2: The teacher has created two Flex creative writing classes. One is "All About Me" and due to the personal nature potential, this is a Flex class. The other is the same class as the online Level I, Level II, and Level III (each student is taught on an individual basis) but with the option of not having a live class. Update #1: The teacher has created this course based on age and ability. Some students may need to be moved up to level II or level III. There will be prerequisites to move up to the next level. Level I (this course) is designed to write an effective paragraph. Level II is designed to write an effective story with multiple paragraphs. Level III is designed to write a full children's book that might be ready for publication. Students should know the basics of writing by using their imagination. Silly starters will help the students start writing a story. This course is designed to learn how to write an effective story, beyond just a paragraph. We will have open discussions on what it means to write an effective story using adjectives and more complex action verbs. For example, sentence structure, topic sentences, supporting details and a conclusion will be expected. Students have much to write. They have a wealth of information, whether it is from small moments in their life or other personal stories they would like to share. Students are eager to put those those to paper. The best way to enhance a student's writing experience is to give them ample mini-opportunities to write. This course is designed to provide structured writing experiences that will lead students to improved writing skills. Each student will pick three different numbers that will correlate with the starter prompts. For example, "What would you do if your doll came to life in the library?" or "What if a bowl was being chased at a magic show?" A minimum of five sentences will be required for an effective story. Students will be able to privately meet with the teacher during class, while the other students are writing their stories. In addition, students will be able to have the opportunity to share their story if they choose to share. Peer review will be allowed for those students who do not mind. If the student does not want to participate in a peer review, the student will be able to meet with the teacher privately. The class will be interactive and lighthearted. The students will guide the learning and the teacher will be the facilitator. I believe we should learn at least one new thing a day, including me. I hope to learn from the students, as well as the students learn from the teacher and each other.

Hello. My name is Teacher Tanya.
Greetings,
I am Teacher Tanya, a dedicated educator with a rich personal and professional background.
In my personal life, I fulfill roles as a devoted wife, a mother to nine children, a grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Teaching, reading, and traveling in my RV are my passions.
Central to my philosophy is the belief that continuous learning is essential for personal growth. I advocate for acquiring new knowledge daily to enrich our lives. As an educator, I employ the 5 E's approach—Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate—while also emphasizing the importance of "Extend" in teaching.
Regarding my education and experience, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and have pursued extensive coursework towards a Master's Degree in Education: Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I possess a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Call me crazy, but I am currently working on a Doctorate is Education: Organizational Leadership.
With fifteen years of experience owning and operating state-licensed and accredited preschool, childcare, and school-age centers, I have a solid foundation in education. I have, also, served as a substitute teacher for middle and high school students, including fulfilling long-term positions in core academic subjects.
Having dedicated over 25 years to working with children in both classroom settings and extracurricular activities, I have taught a diverse range of subjects such as English, Reading, History, Math, Science, and ESL, to students with diverse abilities.
I appreciate your time in reviewing my profile and consider it an honor. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet your child and your family.
Thank you.
