Class Experience
Beginner - Advanced Level
This course is a weekly private flute lesson (one on one) for students of all ability levels. This class is suitable for students with no experience all the way up to advanced learners. Advanced students are also welcome to take a longer lesson (45-minutes) if needed. Each lesson is individualized for the student and will cover all of the skills they need to feel confident and joyful when playing the flute. By taking beginner private lessons, students will: --Improve tone, technique,...
- Students will establish great flute posture, assembly of the flute, embouchure, tone, articulation, and will learn how to read notes on the staff fluently. Students will learn their first notes and learn new notes every week! We will also establish great breathing, finger placement, and body alignment.

Frequency: 1-2 per weekFeedback: as neededDetails: Students will have weekly goals to work toward before each lesson through daily practice time. Students will not be expected to perfect every goal each week, but will need to put forth effort every week through individual practice time.
Student and teacher will work together to choose appropriate exercises and activities for weekly instruction and practice. This may include a flute method book and/or pneumo pro (practice device) to be purchased by the learner. If students are unable to purchase materials, alternative materials can be provided.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
