Welcome chefs! In this ongoing class students will learn about new countries and make a famous recipe from each country they visit! As this is an ongoing class, students may join or leave at any time, no previous classes are needed! Every week in this exciting cooking class we will visit a new country and make a popular dish from that country. Students will have a fun time learning how to make tasty foods from around the globe, the best part is - student prepare a delicious recipe to share...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to safely use kitchen tools and how to operate kitchen equipment. Students will learn facts about countries from around the world. Students will learn how to read recipes and make new dishes.
I am a food blogger and a teacher! I enjoy helping families empower kids in the kitchen.
Enjoy the meal you just made & have fun completing the take home activities provided with each class!
Before each class you will receive: - A Printable Country Fact File - A Kid-Friendly Recipe: This includes the name of the dish, an image of the dish, information about the recipe, ingredients & measurements, equipment, as well as easy to follow instructions. - Fun Take Home Activities These will be received at least 24 hours in advance.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
As this is a cooking and baking class students will be using kitchen tools and appliances such as knives and the stovetop. A responsible adult must be present in the event that there is an emergency or if a student needs help. Depending on time, students may need to finish the cooking and/or baking of a dish after class ends. I ask students to come to class prepared, therefore students should have reviewed the recipe prior to class and have all of the equipment ready. If the student is new to the kitchen I ask that they come to class with their ingredients measured and prepared until you feel that they are ready to measure and prepare ingredients as we move through the recipe. You will receive the recipe a few days before the class, if there are ingredients which you cannot find please contact me and I will try to suggest an alternative, this goes the same for allergies.
