Class Experience

In this ongoing class we will be drawing and sometimes watercolour painting in a relaxed informal setting (students are welcome to chat to each other). Along the way students will get some idea of perspective, shading, form, composition and lighting and maybe make some new friends :). 

The theme will be changeable based on animals, cartoons, computer games, films and books. Sometimes I will suggest ideas we can do but also students can say what they would like to draw/learn or other times...

students will learn shading, composition, form, lighting, perspective and watercolour painting.

no homework will be assigned, however if there isn't time to complete a picture in a session they can finish it at a later time if they wish.

Ruler and eraser. Coloured pencils and lead pencils, will be mostly used but also watercolour paints and brushes sometimes. Marker or ink pens can be useful as well.
Paper. Any paper will do (keeping a sketch book is a good idea so they can look back on what they have done) but for painting watercolour paper is best.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

no assessment but students usually find out for themselves that their drawing improves over time from looking back on drawings they have done.

1 hour 25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
