1 hour per week. I will occasionally send worksheets that can be solved during class and solved as homework.

Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 9
This is an Ongoing class, where students can drop in and leave anytime.  However, I will start teaching this class in a progressive order.  Depending on the topic I will send a worksheet, use a power point presentation, the Zoom whiteboard or Desmos.  I will solve problems with explanations and then I will let students solve problems and help them when they need it.  The students need to know arithmetic, fractions and order of operations for any of these topics.  Additional knowledge will depend on the topic of the week. 
Week of January 13 to 19
Topic: Foundations for Algebra.  Real numbers and the number line. 
Week of January 20 to 26
Topic: The distributive property, adding, subtracting real numbers.
Week of January 27 to February 2
Topic: Multiplying and dividing real numbers.
 Week of February 3 to 9.
Topic: The distributive property.  An introduction to Equations.
Week of February 10 to 16
Topic: Solving equations.  Solving One-Step Equations.
Week of February 17 to 23.
Topic: Solving 2 step equations.
Week of February 24 to March 2.
Topic: Solving Multi-Step Equations, combining like terms.
Week of March 3 to 9.
Topic: Ratios, Rates and Conversions.
 Week of March 10 to 16.
Topic: Inequalities and Their Graphs.
Week of March17 to 23.
Solving Inequalities.
I will continue adding more Algebra 1 topics as we advance.

For this class students need to know arithmetic and fractions.
