Advanced Level
The first of its kind on the Outschool platform, it is the most in-depth look at cat & dog anatomy and physiology currently available to kids. ⭐ 🥇 Awarded both the Star Teacher and Popular Teacher badges in 2024, the course curriculum teacher and designed custom created this curriculum to draw in the attention and curiosity of children with vet school aspirations. Although it is created for students of all pet-knowledge levels, it will be too advanced for some. I will be teaching the names of actual muscles, bones, nerves, tendons, veins, and other body parts. Some of these words are much more difficult words than students are accustomed to and thus it may be overwhelming for some learners. In an effort to simplify and digest, subduing information overload, classes are short. Please do not be mistaken, these classes are are info-packed. ⚫ This course is not progressive although students who stay for the duration of the course will complete the entirety of the dog and cat, exempting reproductive tracks. ⚫ Students can jump into learning at any time and stay as many weeks as desired! Classes will comprise of a course lecture (filled with images on lecture slides) and retention activities to help learners remember the material. ⚫ Color sheets are provided most weeks (3 classes may not have color sheets) as course review, though if students wish to color in class they may. ❌ This course is not a reproductive education course. Quetsions will be answered anatomically correctly, but we don't go into detail for this course. I also teach an advanced anatomy equine/horse/pony class as well: https://outschool.com/classes/ongoing-horses-equine-science-advanced-vet-anatomy-and-biology-11-15yo-1vXAmUWm#usSwirNx6I 🟪 My mission for this class: 🟪 It is important children understand how their actions affect pets. At the core of this understanding, students begin to understand how body parts affect one another, how the physical body affects behavior and movement, how injuries occur and how to prevent them, and how seemingly unrelated body parts affect and hinder others. Many students stay and take the course over again.
Learning Goals
Each week has their own set of goals and learning outcomes.
Ideally, each class meeting, students learn body parts and how those body parts affect the horse.

I worked in veterinary medicine at and after NC State University and began my vet work in 2004.
