Class Experience

Hi!
In this class I will be reading one german story per class.
The students will understand the context of the story without knowing much of the german vocabulary.
In the beginning of the class we will do a song, talk about a picture or practice some verbs. Then I will introduce them to certain
words that they will be able to identify in the story by flashcards with pictures.
Most of the stories I read have at least one picture (from the flashcards) in each sentence which the students will be able to call out.
While reading I will take breaks to talk about the story (in english) and make sure everybody knows what's happening.
Some weeks, we'll play a (word) game or sing a song to enhance the learners german vocabulary in a fun way.
The books are no baby books. The stories are suited for kids that are beginning to read.
The learners don't need to be able to read or write. This story time is intended to teach german through listening and speaking the language.

Book and Topics are subject to change if current interesting event take place or students voice wishes for certain topics.

Since this is a private lesson, please let me know your child's interests or wishes for the first lesson, I will do my best to prepare accordingly!

We will meet once every week. Most stories are out of the books shown in the picture.
The 'Bildermaus' stories are fun and engaging for kids and because of the pictures in the sentences this is more of an interactive class.
Book include:
Loewe, Bildermaus: Delfingeschichten (Dolphin stories)
Loewe, Bildermaus: Schwimmen lernen ist ganz leicht (Learning to swim is easy)
Loewe, Bildermaus: Geschichten von wilden Piraten (Stories of wild pirates)
Lowee, Bildermaus: Wackelzahngeschichten (Stories of wiggly teeth)
Loewe, Bildermaus: Haustiergeschichten (Stories with pets)
