Class Experience
Students will learn to read and understand music, as well as the mechanics of playing the piano.
Students will be given 1-2 new songs to practice after each lesson, as well as periodic written homework. Students are encouraged to practice 15-30 each day, or 1-3 hours each week.
Students will be required to purchase the appropriate books from the Bastien Piano Basics series. https://www.amazon.com/James-Bastien/e/B00MD9JWQ4/ref=dp_byline_cont_pop_book_1 The teacher will provide guidance on which level to purchase after assessing the students level during the first introductory class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
