Class experience
This class is a weekly, one-on-one piano lesson for ages 5-18 who are just beginning or have less than a year of piano training. The teacher has extensive experience with young beginner students and has a very fun and enthusiastic teaching style that suits well for young learners and will help them enjoy their lessons and look forward to each class. Each student will need to have a piano or keyboard, and also be required to purchase their own songbooks (link given by teacher after first...
Students will learn to read and understand music, as well as the mechanics of playing the piano.
Homework Offered
Students will be given 1-2 new songs to practice after each lesson, as well as periodic written homework. Students are encouraged to practice 15-30 each day, or 1-3 hours each week.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Students will be required to purchase the appropriate books from the Bastien Piano Basics series. The teacher will provide guidance on which level to purchase after assessing the students level during the first introductory class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
