This class is for private 1-1 tutoring in Spelling, Reading (Phonics), or Handwriting. Also options are based on any of my classes on outschool as well: Reading for Comprehension, Phonics, Spelling, Vocabulary, Typing, Handwriting; printing and cursive. ESL Students welcomed. Students will receive customized tutoring time that is agreed upon by parents and teacher ahead of time.
I am a homeschool mom of 20+ years, I have a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I have taught over these 20+ years in all elementary age subjects. I have experience with online teaching English to nonnative speaking students for about 3 years. I also have certifications in Behavioral Training for children with special needs. This is able to be applied in all the students I work with.
Homework Offered
Students will need to work on spelling and reading outside of class as needed when the skill is in need of outside of class time practice.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Parents need to be sure students have pencil, and paper to write out spelling words each class. I often will create online interactive games for my students using nearpod.com, kahoot.it, and blooket.com. All they need is a separate device from the one they are using for outschool, connected to the internet to play these games in class. none of these sites require an email login. A link and code will be provided in class to join the game.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parents need to supervise students progress and communicate with the teacher what skills is needed by the student so the teacher can prepare. Parents are also encouraged to message the teacher at least 24hrs ahead of time with input so the teacher knows how to prepare for class.
