Class Experience

Pilates increases core strength, flexibility, stability and balance, awareness and the mind-body connection. Pilates teaches the body to work from the powerhouse, the core, making movements more efficient and fluid. It is loved by dancers and other athletes for creating long, lean, functional muscles. Pilates works small intrinsic muscles to build strength from the inside, out.

These are personal training sessions, completely tailored to the needs of the participant. Our first session will be an assessment, goal setting and introduction; subsequent sessions will be designed to meet goals and enhance general
strength and flexibility and the mind/body connection.

Each session will start with a check - in how the participant’s “homework” went and how they are feeling, followed by a warm up and then demonstrated and guided exercises to increase strength, stability, mobility and flexibility. We will finish with a cool down, breathing exercises and a plan for the following week.
Learning Goals
Participants will set goals with me the first week; a parent is welcome in the first session.
