Description

Class Experience

I will help learner's improve their knowledge of the Spanish language.

Focus on grammatical structures and verb tenses (present, past (preterite and imperfect), future, conditional, present and imperfect subjunctive, the perfect tenses, topical vocabulary (can be fit to suit individual needs)

One-to-one personal tutoring available for students needing extra help in learning the Spanish language. I put special emphasis on:
-expanding Spanish vocabulary
-expanding academic language in...

This class is taught in English.

Learners will improve their use and understanding of the Spanish language.

I am a New York State certified public school teacher with certifications in Spanish, Italian and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I also have my FLES extension to teach Spanish at the elementary level. I have over sixteen years of classroom experience teaching Spanish at the middle school and high school levels. I teach Spanish for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at both the SL and HL levels. Some of my high school students earn college credit through the coursework they complete with me.

No homework will be assigned unless requested by parent.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod
Youtube
Pear Deck
Edpuzzle

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Many of my lessons include interactive activities for students to complete in the form of Nearpod, EdPuzzle and Pear Deck lessons.  To participate in these interactive activities, students click on session links I post in the Zoom chat during our live meetings. No personal information will ever be required of students in order to participate in these activities.
