-The student will make gains in reading fluency regarding the top 100 new words at their grade level

I've recently spent three years as a public school teacher providing specialized reading services to middle school students. I've enjoyed utilizing technology-based learning management systems to administer academic material and academic tests online. In addition, I've served as a co-teacher in mainstream ELA classes and constructed instructional plans for individual student needs. 

I've also served as a K-8 enrichment coordinator/Talented and Gifted coach, implementing various assessment strategies while providing specific feedback on student work. 

Regardless of student ability, my passion is implementing modifications and accommodations for comprehensive support of student needs related to reading.

Homework Offered
- The student will be asked to review the word list and time themselves to beat their previous score. They will also be asked to continue putting the new words into written sentences.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
The student will be timed on each of the word lists and any errors in pronunciation will be noted. This will be reported back to you.
Grades Offered

The Fry word list or "instant words" are widely accepted to contain the most used words in reading and writing.
