Class experience

This class is taught in English.
My mission for all of my classes is that every learner has the opportunity to be creative. I believe creativity is so important, and I want to give students the chance to express themselves in a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is for each student in this particular class to complete an entire acrylic painting, and learn about techniques and the brushes we use during class.
I have a BA in Art - Concentration in Drawing and Painting. I have been teaching art at the professional level for the last 8 years. I love to work on painting in my free time, and I illustrate children's books!
Learners will need a couple of supplies for painting. If you already have some supplies feel free to use what you have! You WILL need paints, brushes, and a canvas to complete this artwork!

Canvas, Canvas Board, or Canvas Paper
Blue Acrylic Paint
Black Acrylic Paint
White Acrylic Paint
Red Acrylic Paint (could also use pink instead of red)
Large Square Brush
Smaller Square Brush
Paper Plate (or something to use as a paint pallet)
Cup of Water
Paper Towels

If you would like or need to purchase new supplies, all supplies can be purchased online on Amazon. Most supplies can also be purchased at your local grocery or art store. Please let me know if you have any questions about supplies, I'm happy to help!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Acrylic paints can be hard to get off of furniture and out of clothing. Please make sure students have a space to work that is ok to get a bit messy. I recommend wearing old clothes that you won't mind if they get a little paint on them. Acrylic does come off of hair and skin with just a little soap and water.
