Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
My mission for all of my classes is that every learner has the opportunity to be creative. I believe creativity is so important, and I want to give students the chance to express themselves in a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is for each student in this particular class to complete an entire acrylic painting, and learn about techniques and the brushes we use during class.
I have a BA in Art - Concentration in Drawing and Painting. I have been teaching art at the professional level for the last 8 years. I love to work on painting in my free time, and I illustrate children's books!
No homework will be assigned, but if students would like more time to work on their artwork, they are always welcome to paint after class.
Learners will need a couple of supplies for painting. If you already have some supplies feel free to use what you have! You WILL need paints, brushes, and a canvas to complete this artwork! These are the colors I used for my artwork, but for this painting feel free to pick your own colors! 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Acrylic paints can be hard to get off of furniture and out of clothing. Please make sure students have a space to work that is ok to get a bit messy. I recommend wearing old clothes that you won't mind if they get a little paint on them. Acrylic does come off of hair and skin with just a little soap and water.
