Class Experience

In this “no experience needed” class I will walk students step by step through creating their own artwork. This class is perfect for any new (or experienced!) artist wanting very clear and easy-to-follow instructions. During this class, students will learn how to create a winter tree acrylic painting on canvas. We will discuss and learn about our brushes and materials, as well as the painting techniques used to create this artwork. At the end of the 45-minute session, students will have their own completed masterpiece! Acrylic paints, brushes, and a canvas will be needed for this class. Please see the supply list for all the details.

Learning Goals
My mission for all of my classes is that every learner has the opportunity to be creative. I believe creativity is so important, and I want to give students the chance to express themselves in a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is for each student in this particular class to complete an entire acrylic painting, and learn about techniques and the brushes we use during class.

Parental Guidance
Acrylic paints can be hard to get off of furniture and out of clothing. Please make sure students have a space to work that is ok to get a bit messy. I recommend wearing old clothes that you won't mind if they get a little paint on them. Acrylic does come off of hair and skin with just a little soap and water.
