One-Time Galaxy Art Acrylic Painting! Step-By-Step Artwork (Ages 9-13)
Paint a fun space-themed acrylic painting in this one-time 1-hour class for students ages 9-13. Socialize with friends while being creative. I will be demonstrating the process step-by-step, no experience is needed to create this cool art!

Join me while we paint a fun space acrylic painting! In this “no experience needed” art class I will walk you step by step through creating your own space scene. This class is perfect for any new (or experienced!) artist wanting very clear and easy to follow instructions. During this class, you will learn how to create a galaxy acrylic painting on canvas. We will discuss and learn about our brushes and materials, as well as the painting techniques used to create this artwork. At the end of the session, you will have your own completed masterpiece! Acrylic paints, brushes, and a canvas will be needed for this class. Please see the supply list for all the details. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This class needs to meet a minimum of 2 enrolled students to run the class. If for some reason we have not met the minimum number of students I will contact the enrolled student 48 hours before the class time to cancel/reschedule. Learning Goals
My mission for all of my classes is that every learner has the opportunity to be creative. I believe creativity is so important, and I want to give students the chance to express themselves in a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is for each student in this particular class to complete an entire acrylic painting, and learn about techniques and the brushes we use during class.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Acrylic paints can be hard to get off of furniture and out of clothing. Please make sure students have a space to work that is ok to get a bit messy. I recommend wearing old clothes that you won't mind if they get a little paint on them. Acrylic does come off of hair and skin with just a little soap and water.
Supply List
Learners will need a couple of supplies for painting. If you already have some supplies feel free to use what you have! You WILL need paints, brushes, and a canvas to complete this artwork! Feel free to customize your colors for your planets! Canvas, Canvas Board, or Canvas Paper. I will be using a 12x16in canvas, but anything around that size will work perfectly Blue Acrylic Paint Black Acrylic Paint Magenta Acrylic Paint (Red will work if you don't have magenta, but the magenta makes a prettier pink!) White Acrylic Paint Yellow Acrylic Paint Large Brush Small Brush Paper Plate or something to use as a paint pallet Cup of Water Paper Towels Most supplies can also be purchased at your local grocery or art store.
