This class is taught in English.
My mission for all of my classes is that every learner has the opportunity to be creative. I believe creativity is so important, and I want to give students the chance to express themselves in a safe and comfortable environment. The goal is for each student in this particular class to complete an entire acrylic painting, and learn about techniques and the brushes we use during class.
I have a BA in Art - Concentration in Drawing and Painting. I have been teaching art at the professional level for the last 8 years. I love to work on painting in my free time, and I illustrate children's books!
Learners will need a couple of supplies for painting. If you already have some supplies feel free to use what you have! You WILL need paints, brushes, and a canvas to complete this artwork! Canvas, Canvas Board, or Canvas Paper. I will be using a 12x16in canvas, but anything around that size will work perfectly Brown Acrylic Paint Green Acrylic Paint White Acrylic Paint Yellow Acrylic Paint Red Acrylic Paint Orange Acrylic Paint Large Brush Small Brush Pencil Paper Plate (or something to use as a paint pallet) Cup of Water Paper Towels If you would like or need to purchase new supplies, most supplies can be purchased at your local grocery or art store. Please let me know if you have any questions about supplies, I'm happy to help answer any questions.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

MISSION My mission is to inspire and develop students' creativity through art and movement. I believe creativity is an important life skill that is not always cultivated in a traditional classroom setting. I am so excited to be a part of...
