Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will be able to make improvements and awareness of one’s own athletic abilities. Athletic conditioning can be a daunting task, but my goal is to instill a positive, can-do attitude to push through hard tasks to reap a sweet reward. I want to incorporate education on specific muscle groups, why it is important to their sport, and the importance of a healthy mindset when it comes to sports.
•I have a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences
•I have competed at the USASF World Championship for Cheerleading and Dance three times
•I have 5 years of experience coaching athletic conditioning classes
•Water bottle. •A space free of obstructions, preferably on a yoga mat, cheer mat, grass, or any other gentle surface. •Clothing: Athletes should wear clothing they are comfortable in and does not restrict body movement. I would suggest any sort of athletic shorts, sweatpants, or leggings, paired with a tank top or t-shirt. •Shoes: I will require athletic shoes (running shoes, gym shoes, cheer shoes) for this class to avoid injury. •Hair: Hair should be pulled back with a hair tie, braid, or headband to ensure hair is out of the face. •Jewelry: Please avoid wearing any jewelry to avoid accidental injury when working out.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
While I do encourage athletes to push themselves to elevate their heart rate and feel a strong burn in the target muscle group, athletes should NEVER experience pain. My class is designed to warm up the muscles before moving into exercises for target muscle groups and a 5-minute stretch cool down, to avoid injury. Parents are recommended to stay nearby, but off-camera while providing supervision for beginner-level students. I will require all video cameras to stay on during class to ensure proper form and safety for all athletes.
