One-On-One Writing Tutoring With Teacher Paro (Ages 9-13)
This one-on-one writing session will allow learners to gain practice in drafting 1-2 paragraphs of response to a writing prompt, read their response and discuss their writing process, and depending on the time begin any revisions.

Description
Class Experience
Learners will gain practice in independent writing, discussing their written work, and as time permits working on revisions. This class will prepare learners for timed writing situations and also allow them to have an opportunity to have guided support while writing.
I earned my BA in English from Washington University, and two Masters degrees in the Education field from Brown University and The George Washington University. I have taught language arts to learners in K-12 for over a decade in non-formal settings such as afterschool tutoring and weekend enrichment programs. In Hillsborough County, Florida, I was nominated at the SERVE Tutor of the year in 2012. I have also published poetry, magazine articles, and academic book chapters.
Paper and pencil/pen will be suitable for this class.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
