1:1 Tutoring: Handwriting - Learning Letter & Number Formation, CVC Words

Do you feel your child could use a little more help with their handwriting skills? Do they write their letters all over the place? Do they start their letters at the bottom?
Do you feel your child needs a more one on one approach to learning to learn proper letter formation and increasing their handwriting skills?
I offer one on one sessions to help your child learn the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. I have been using the Handwriting Without Tears Method for at least eight years now. I use a combination of this program and my own to complete a writing curriculum geared towards success!
I can help your child learn the numbers and letters both uppercase and lowercase through fine motor activities and handwriting practice.
Once we complete the numbers to 20 and the alphabet, we will put what we have learned together to make CVC words by playing games. 
Our first few sessions will be for assessments to see where your child is developmentally and discuss what you are looking for in the way of instruction. 

A calendar will be provided along with weekly worksheets giving you tasks to complete in and out of class. A materials list will be provided after the first class. We will be using things such as flour and a cookie sheet, ripped paper, wiki sticks, playdough or clay, buttons, paintbrush and water, cornstarch and water, etc. Things you probably already have around the house. For at-home activities, including pouring, transferring beans or rice with a spoon, and putting cotton balls or pom-poms in a muffin tin using tongs.
