The purpose of this class is to give students the opportunity to receive tutoring on their creative writing pieces. That said, in this class, we will focus on whatever questions they may have about their piece. In addition, I will help students to pick apart their work into the writing techniques that they used to create them. Then, we will talk about those techniques, what they add to the work, and how to use other techniques to improve the piece. If these creative writing pieces are for a specific assignment in school, I will have the students send me those assignment requirements to make sure all corrections abide by those rules.
To ensure students get the best experience possible from these tutoring sessions, I will have the students send me their piece about a week before our session. This is to ensure I have ample time to review their work, review the assignment requirements, and prepare for our tutoring session. 

**Note: These 30-minute sessions work best for short stories (1,000-5,000 words), Flash functions, or poetry. For anything longer, such as a chapter of a novel, I work recommend booking back-to-back sessions.**

This class is an opportunity for students to receive help with their work, so please feel free to suggest a time that fits your student's schedule.
