Class Experience
A variety of reading skills will be taught that are specifically customized to the child's needs. Examples include phonemic awareness drills, phonics instruction, reading, reading comprehension, and advanced comprehension strategies. The student will be interacting with the teacher continuously through the lesson. The parent will be notified after each tutoring session to receive information about their child's progress as well as to identify areas of need. Students need to be able to sit at...
Goals will vary from student to student. Each student who receives direct tutoring skills will show an improvement in the area of need.
If homework is assigned, it will be no more than one page per week.
See the classroom prior to each session for items that need to be printed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may need to use scissors from time to time. Blunt scissors are recommended.
