Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Mrs. Alex, and I am an Early Childhood Educator. After earning my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood through Sixth Grade education, I spent four years teaching Kindergarten, and have certifications in English as a Second Language, and the Science of Teaching Reading. I am excited to bring the Science of Teaching Reading to my students. This is the culmination of decades-long research on how the brain learns to read, with a 95% success rate in ALL learners.
I bring the Science of Teaching Reading, as well as social-emotional learning, inquiry mindset, and critical thinking to all of my classes. These skills are essential to promoting independence and confidence in young readers, and establishing a life-long love of learning.
