One-On-One Tailored Math Tutoring

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics, and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics. Over the past seven years, I have been teaching mathematics courses at the college level, including Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus. During this time, I have also worked closely with incoming freshmen in a study skills course, helping students develop strategies for succeeding in math and other academic subjects.

Beyond the college classroom, I have extensive experience working with middle and high school students as a tutor and mentor. I began tutoring peers in high school and later worked as a tutor at The Tutoring Center, where I helped students improve their math skills and prepared them for standardized tests like the SAT/ACT. Additionally, I served as a math tutor at my local YMCA, working with younger students in a community setting to build foundational math confidence.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes breaking down complex topics into understandable steps while making math approachable and engaging. My goal is to help students not only master the material but also develop a genuine appreciation for how math connects to real-world applications. With years of experience teaching and mentoring students of all ages, I am passionate about guiding learners through the challenges of algebra and beyond.
