Welcome to my one-on-one creative writing tutoring class. I'm here to help with all your creative needs. This means everything and anything from developing your writing skills, crafting a story from beginning to end, or just general help with refining ideas. Not only do I come with over two decades of professional writing experience, but I've been helping young students complete stories on Outschool for several years now. This may be my official one-on-one offering, but my other creative ongoing classes have been utilized in this same way for individuals and groups. My main goal is always to help students find the heart of their story, the life lessons just end up being a bonus as we learn about character development and conflict. To do this, I'll have personalized lessons, assist in crafting themes, and go into discussions about conflict and the differences between closure and resolution. I also specialize in world-building and power systems and have even helped students sketch out character designs. In the end, if there is an idea burning in your heart then I'm here to help to set it ablaze for all of you to share.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basics of story structure, character development, and conflict resolution. As well as any advanced techniques needed dependent on their story and ideas.
