Description
Class Experience
The student will work with the teacher to research, sort, and write facts about rabbits. We will then write a speech and practice performing it. We will practice until the student is comfortable performing the speech for the family.
I have been a librarian for over a decade. In this time, I have worked with students of all ages (college to elementary) on their reading, organization, and grammar skills. I have also been teaching English online for the last three years. I have been with VIPKid, an online ESL teaching program, for 3 years, and I have been with Magic Ears (another ESL teaching program) for the last year. In this time, I have learned to elicit total physical response while engaging young learners, teaching curriculum based on learning English as a second language. I have worked in both one-on-one and four-on-one virtual settings. I am comfortable with all ages and larger groups of children.
No homework is required, however it will be helpful to practice the speech in between classes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will message the parent after each class to give feedback on how each class went.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
