Class Experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 4
This 30 minute, one time class will focus on identifying rocks owned by the learner and sharing rock collections. We will discuss the learner's rock collection and work together to identify their rocks. While identifying their rocks we will also talk about how they might have formed, where they can be found, any uses for those rocks, identification of any fossils they hold, as well as other important information that comes up. This class will be taught in a less structured, more conversational manner, with discussions about the rocks the learner brings, storage and/or display practices, as well as getting an opportunity to see rocks and fossils that they may not have seen before. No prior knowledge or experience is required for this course, however taking my All About Rocks! course would be a great foundation.
Learning Goals
The goals for this course is that the learner will have identified their rocks from their collection and will be able to identify future additions to their collection.
