Greetings music lovers! Have you started playing the recorder in school or are brand new to playing and want some one on one instruction to help you develop recorder flute playing skills? This is the class for you! You will be the only student so learning can be targeted to your individual level and needs! Learn recorder flute pitches, songs and proper playing technique! Utilize Teacher Tammy’s experience teaching the recorder in elementary schools for over ten years! Learn folk songs at your level whether beginning, middle or advanced! Week one: Describe your recorder playing skills! Have you ever played? What do you already know about the recorder flute? Discuss note names and proper playing and hand position. Practice warmups and songs based on your level! Week two: Rehearse songs for your own particular skill level! Demonstrate the skills from the first week that you have learned and begin the next level of songs. Study rhythm notes and practice your own at home! Week three: Demonstrate first and second week songs. Review note letter names and rhythm. Watch videos of professional recorder players. Learn about the music staff and measures. Week four: Review known songs and add new fingerings that you haven’t learned! Learn about time signatures and key signatures!
