Description

Class Experience

Students will gain increased reading fluency and comprehension.
Students will gain confidence in their reading ability.
I am a former Elementary school teacher and Pre-school teacher with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education.
Homework, or practice, may be given  based on learner's need and parent's request or approval.  Practice may include but is not limited to: practicing letter/sound/word recognition flash cards, practicing reading aloud with parent, practice sheets or videos posted in our classroom.  Homework is not required, but practice is always encouraged.
Learner supplies may include, paper, pencil, crayons, white board, dry-erase marker and dry eraser.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learner will be assessed informally during class and formally by one-on-one assessments of skills in order to track learner's progress and determine next steps.   Letter Grades are not assigned, but progress is monitored. 
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students may need space in front of their computer if we stand to sing or dance... parent supervision may be needed.  
Any sources used will be shared via Zoom screen-share.  No parent accounts are needed.
