Assessment
I complete assessments for our target learning areas. These are formal assessments and written narratives.

Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 5
This is a one time live reading tutoring class. The first time I meet with your child, I will complete assessments in word reading inventory, phonological awareness, and a spelling inventory. These assessments identify any gaps in your child's reading and spelling. This helps to see where future tutoring sessions should begin instruction.
I will take time to get to know your child's interests, what motivates him/her with learning, and make an individualized learning plan. You will receive the results of the assessments to share with your child's school or to have for yourself.

I am available to book for tutoring after completing assessments to follow your child's learning plan. Reach out to my after our first session for additional availability and flexible scheduling.I have days and times open that may not appear on the scheduling page. I can also combine a math and reading tutoring sessions.

Please reach out for additional availability.
Learning Goals
This tutoring session helps identify what skills are lacking for your child to become a successful reader.
We will assess phonological awareness, word spelling, and word reading. These skills are essential for your child to learn to read and write. I follow a science of reading approach using OG and LETRS training.
Your child will then begin to learn the skills to fill the gaps and grow confidence in his/her reading.
