Hi! I am offering one on one tutoring in the areas of Reading and Writing. I can also work with your child on preschool skills. Each lesson will be customized to fit your child's needs. Current lessons are listed as 25 minute sessions. I can offer 50 minute sessions as well if requested. Before beginning lessons, I will send a brief parent survey to learn about your child's preferences, strengths, and areas of concern. The first lesson will consist of informal assessments and building a rapport with the learner. Following lessons will be geared towards areas of concern. Following are examples of areas that I am able work with your child on: Reading: alphabet identification and sounds phonological awareness phonics fluency comprehension decoding sight words vocabulary Writing: handwriting beginning writing skills spelling sentence writing paragraph writing editing punctuation grammar the writing process narrative writing informational writing opinion writing creative writing Preschool: alphabet identification and sounds phonological awareness songs and rhymes social skills early math skills (numbers, counting, patterns, ect) handwriting or pre-writing Please reach out to me with any questions you may have. Supply List
A whiteboard and marker will be helpful to have as well as paper and pencil. I can supply supplementary material (handouts, printable books, ect) as needed.
