This is a one on one course to help your child with any of their phonics needs. You pick how many sessions you want and what sounds you would like me to work on with your child. If you need help figuring that out, I can do some reading assessments at our first session to figure out what sounds and patterns they need the most help with and we can go from there. My classes are very structured. During each class, we will... 1. Learn the sound along with any tricks. 2. Listen for the sound within words. 3. Read words that contain the sound. 4. Write words that contain the sound. 5. Read sentences that contain the sound. Some sounds/patterns that we can work on are: short vowels (a, e, i, o, u), sh, th, ch, wh, any blends (l blends, s blends, r blends), au, aw, al, ou, ow, oi, oy, ew, oo, long vowel patterns (silent e, ai, ay, ea, ee, y, igh, oa, ow, ue). Or any other suggestions that you have! Just let me know in the comments when you register for the class.

Students will improve their understand of word sounds and patterns in order to help them understand and better decode words when reading and writing.

Supply List
Your child will need something to write with. It is recommended to have something that is able to be erased and reused (like a whiteboard and dry erase marker) but paper and pencil will also work.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
