Hello! Just like the course title states, this is an ongoing one-on-one music lesson. All experience levels welcome. Types of lessons offered: - Ukulele - Guitar - Bass Guitar - Loog Guitar - Beginning Piano - Beginning Drums - Beginning Music Production - Songwriting Types of lessons not offered: - singing/voice - violin/viola/cello etc. - woodwinds & brass My philosophy is centered around learning songs, and lots of them! I believe each song contains something new for a musician to learn, so......rather than spending strenuous time on method and technique, I let the songs do the teaching. If a student has song requests, I am more than happy to oblige. In fact, I prefer the student learn a song they already are familiar with and enjoy. I make sure to meet each student where they are at and cater the lesson plans specifically to their strengths. I am patient with each and every student. I want them to know learning an instrument is not a chore, but a window into a rich musical universe. I teach from books only when necessary. Instead, I mostly create music sheets from scratch in order to ensure what the student is learning is accurate and true to the original song, and also suitable for their level. For guitar and ukulele, we will often use "tab" style sheets which don't actually require the ability to read music. Bottom line: I will go the extra mile for your learner! Please don't hesitate to ask any preliminary questions.
Learning Goals
Ultimately, my goal is for the leaner to enjoy playing their instrument and find a sense of ownership in their playing.
