Is your student struggling with math concepts in class? Or does your student need additional instruction to increase and extend the skills they already know to a mastery level? In this on-going class, I will tailor my instruction to fit the needs of your student. They will work one-on-one with a certified elementary school teacher who specializes in math instruction. I have great familiarity with the math standards for grades 3-5. The one on one atmosphere of this class will help your student leave feeling more confident about solving math problems because they will have a variety of strategies to attack the questions. If your student has homework they are struggling with then we can also work on these problems during class. 

Once you enroll in a course, I will reach out to determine the needs of your student so that I can tailor my instruction to their current level. I am excited to help your student find confidence in math and reach mastery where they struggle most. 

Skills we can possibly work on are: 
-Multiplication/division fact memorization and automaticity
-Strategies to solve Multi-digit Addition and Subtraction Problems through use models, pictures, through models, pictures, and numbers 
-Strategies to solve Multi-digit Multiplication/Division Problems through use of models, pictures, through models, pictures, and numbers 
-Understanding how to add and subtract fractions with common and uncommon denominators through models, pictures, and numbers
-Understand how to multiply and divide fractions and mixed numbers through models, pictures, and numbers
-Convert between fractions and decimals
-Add/Subtract/Multiply/Divide decimals through the use of models, pictures, and numbers
-Test Taking strategies like: how to solve a word problem, how to narrow down potential answers on multiple choice tests

This course differs from my other tutoring sessions as it 40 minutes long. This class will be given out as a needed basis for students that need more practice and assistance. I will only offer these courses as private classes on a needs basis, after working with students in my other tutoring course.
