Class Experience

This is a one-on-one ongoing math tutoring class for ages 9 through 17. This class is for students who need help with math homework or students who would benefit from extra review problems. This one-on-one ongoing class is also for students that are having trouble understanding what they are currently doing in their regular math class or students that have test/assignment corrections and still need some clarifications on a topic. (Some examples of math topics include but are not limited to multiplication, fractions, algebra, functions, solving equations, quadratics, and trigonometry.) This tutoring class is also for students who simply don't get how to do a specific problem.

Together, we will work on clarifying math problems. We will work through math problems together using a whiteboard or pen and paper and work towards the student solving problems individually. We can talk about the individual struggles the student has when solving a math problem. Sometimes students need a different way of seeing or solving a problem that works better for them. Other times students need more practice solving problems and guidance on where they are making mistakes.

Students will bring their math homework, assignments, test review material, or graded tests to do test corrections and we will go through the problems together.

*Attendance Policy: The teacher will wait for the student in the classroom for 10 minutes. If the parent or student does not communicate to the teacher that the student will be late for class, the teacher will leave after 10 minutes. This will be considered a missed meeting and you are not entitled to a refund. *

Learning Goals

The student will improve their individual math skills based on their current needs.
