Description

Class Experience

This class is set up as a one on one math help session. Students taking middle school math courses, pre-algebra, high school algebra I,  or geometry may sign up for this course. Students should bring questions/material that they need help with. If students can message me and provide me with topics prior to the class meeting, I can prepare practice material and more involved lessons to help the student improve their skills. We will use an "I do, we do, you do" approach. This is where I model...

Learning goals are specific to student needs. 
My goal is to help each student master the skill that they are requesting help with.

I teach high school special education. With this, I co-teach geometry and algebra courses. So, though I do not specialize in math specifically, I do specialize in making math more accessible for diverse learners. Co-teaching geometry and algebra has provided be with all the math skills needed to individually teach these concepts.

Send me the assignment or topic that you need help in as soon as you receive it. This will allow me to prepare before our meeting, making our time together more efficient. 

ex. If you get a homework assignment, send me a photo of it at lunch or right after school, prior to our meeting.

Only supplies needed are specific calculator used for student's math course.

1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.

This course is geared to your students individual needs.

Have students provide me their homework or assignment ahead of time if possible. Students should also have their books or notes used in class.
