Class Experience
In this one-time art class, students will meet one-on-one with the teacher in order to draw some kawaii cartoon-style animals of their choosing. In this one-on-one setting, students will be able to choose which animals they would like to draw. (See list below.) They will also be able to choose among different poses and details. Students will follow live step-by-step demonstrations in order to draw their chosen animals. I will use two cameras so that the students will be able to see me as well as a close-up of the live drawing demonstrations. We will begin by using simple shapes and lines, and then we will add the details. Students will be shown different options to customize the details of their animals including variations in poses, facial expressions, and more! Lessons will be structured upon the student's preferences, goals, and pace. We may complete 1-4 drawings during the lesson, depending on the complexity of the drawing and the work pace of the student. Students will be given the option to work on coloring techniques during class, but this is optional. (Keep in mind that students will likely be able to complete more drawings if they do not color in class). The atmosphere of this class will be relaxed, positive, and supportive. Creativity and imagination will always be encouraged. Students will not be required to show their drawings on camera, but they are welcome to hold up their papers and get feedback throughout the lesson. Students are also welcome to ask for help with specific drawing goals. Prior drawing experience is helpful but not required for this class. Students should feel comfortable drawing simple shapes like circles, triangles, and ovals. Lessons are available upon request. Please message me in order to schedule a time slot. I will do my best to meet your request and find a time that works for you. Please include information about your desired lesson times and what your student would like to draw within your request message. (You may include types of animals, specific poses, or other important details.) The existing drawing options are listed below. Students may choose more than one animal to draw during the lesson. Again, please include this information within your request message. You may request an animal that is not listed below, but I may need to schedule you further out on the calendar so that I have time to create a new lesson plan. ______________ DRAWING OPTIONS: -cat -dog (You may choose a specific breed of dog. Just let me know within your lesson request.) -any wild feline (cheetah, lion, tiger, leopard, snow leopard, lynx, and more) -any wild canine (fox, wolf, coyote, and more) -small mammals (rabbit, mouse, hamster, chinchilla, squirrel, raccoon, red panda) -primates (lemur or monkey) -bears (brown, black, polar, or panda) -marsupials ( koala, kangaroo, wallaby, sugar glider) -birds (duck, chick, penguin) *I am in the process of creating more lesson plans for more animals. Please check back soon for more options! ________________________ Feel free to contact me with your questions. I hope to see you soon!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
Welcome to my Outschool teacher page! My name is Alissa Agostini, and I live in Milwaukee, USA. I have been teaching online since 2017, and so far, I’ve taught over 7000 online reading and English classes. Before that, I taught in the classroom as a middle school language arts and literature teacher. In my eight years of teaching experience, I’ve worked with large classes, I’ve worked in one-on-one tutoring sessions, and I’ve worked with students of all ages, from 4 up to 16. No matter who I am teaching or where I am teaching, I strive to create a positive, encouraging, and welcoming atmosphere. I always teach with kindness, energy, and enthusiasm. My goal is to teach in a way that promotes a lifelong love of learning.
In my previous traditional teaching experiences, I realized that students do not always have the opportunity to explore their passions and interests, so I joined Outschool, and I set out to create lessons about a variety of topics about which I myself am passionate. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, so I combined my research and writing skills with my love for art to create vibrant ebooks that I use for my lessons. My lessons give students the opportunity to explore interests while learning new facts and practicing valuable skills. Additionally, many of my lessons incorporate coloring, drawing, or creative writing.
So far, I have created a series of classes about cute wild animals (I’ve always been a huge animal lover!), but I am in the process of writing more lessons about additional topics. If your learner just wants some time to relax and get creative, I also offer step-by-step drawing classes. Check back soon for more class offerings!
Thank you for checking out my teacher profile. I can’t wait to meet your learner in my Outschool classroom! Have a lovely day!
-Ms. Alissa
