Class Experience
This course focuses on Spanish speaking skills. Students must already have studied basic grammar in order to communicate effectively. This course is designed for A2 level students. Students can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Students must be between 10 and 15 years old. Students will be able to understand, read, learn new vocabulary and speak Spanish at ease. During the first class, students will speak about their sports preferences and opinion about them in Spanish using the present tense. Students will learn how to be more fluent in Spanish through a variety of vocabulary and useful phrases related to different topics, such as buying food and clothes at a Spanish store, numbers and the time, ordering food and drinks, directions and places in town, talking about their school subjects and opinions. Students will be evaluated throughout role-plays at a clothing store, at the market, at the restaurant, at school, and they will take fun quizzes on Quizizz. At the end of the Level A2 course, you will be able to interact in simple and common situations of daily life (in shops, at school, etc.). You will be able to talk in simple terms about your past, your surroundings, as well as about topics related to your immediate needs. You will be able to understand frequently used sentences and expressions related to areas that are relevant to you (basic information on yourself and your family, shopping, interesting places, hobbies, etc.). Students will study : - Sports - Numbers and the time in Spanish, talking about their school schedule - Ordering food and drinks at a restaurant - Parts of the house and describing their home - Prepositions and directions to places - Spanish shops - Clothes vocabulary and buying in a Spanish shop - Talking about your school subjects and giving your opinion about them - Parts of the body and expressing pain at the doctor - Technology and virtual learning - The environment - Past events - Future events - The seasons and the weather - Spanish movies and their opinion about their favourite movies Students will learn the following topics: Week 1: - Sports and your opinion about them - The Spanish Alphabet Week 2: - Numbers 1-100 - The months of the year - Hispanic public holidays and the date Week 3: - Tell the time in Spanish - The days of the week - School subjects Week 4: - A Spanish menu - Ordering food and drinks at a Spanish restaurant Week 5: - Parts of the house and describing their home Week 6: - Prepositions and directions to places Week 7: - Spanish shops Week 8: - Clothes vocabulary and buying in a Spanish shop Week 9: - Parts of the body and expressing pain at the doctor Week 10: - Technology and virtual learning Week 11: - The environment Week 12: - The past tense and talking about your last vacation Week 13: - The future tense and future events Week 14: - The seasons and the weather Week 15: - Spanish movies and their opinion about their favourite movies Classes will be taught through a variety of vocabulary, reading, video-listening comprehension, speaking activities and role-plays, some games on different learning platforms.

My effective leadership, communicative approach and ability to connect with my students make me the teacher I am today.
I was born and raised in Chile and after being accepted to study a language programme in Boston, United States I followed my dream of becoming a teacher.
I have over 18 years of teaching work experience where I have worked with all different age groups and levels from beginner to advanced levels.
Moreover, I have taught one-to-one as well as groups and well-known corporations in the United States, France, Chile and at present in the United Kingdom. I have also created and implemented immersion language programmes for adults and children where I have always implemented interactive and ludic teaching methods including ICT, such as games, role-plays, and real-life situations.
Moreover, I have recently worked as an author for a publishing company where I have created educational contents for different English books.
I have a passion for teaching. I am a highly energetic, creative, resourceful, dynamic and an engaging teacher and I would love to continue sharing my wide teaching experience with students who can value my skills.
