Class Experience

Hello all, I am offering private one on one tutoring for students struggling with K-5 math skills and concepts. I will help students with whatever they need from homework, to projects and test preparation. If your child doesn’t have specific needs or skills they want to focus on, I will build lessons that are curriculum based. I will start the lesson with asking the student what they are currently working on in the math class. We will discuss successes, struggles and areas of concern for the...

This class is taught in English.

Students will improve or expand upon their math performance by participating in personalized tutoring sessions.

No homework is required for this course.

A notebook would be best so that students can keep notes in one organized place but loose-leaf paper or a whiteboard and a marker work just fine.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod
Kahoot
Whiteboard.fi
Hello Smart

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

In addition to Outschool, I will use the the digital platforms Nearpod, Whiteboard.fi, Hello Smart, and Kahoot to support student learning. Guidance will be given to students on how to navigate these tools and use to relegated to the live tutoring sessions while in Outschool.  No personal information such as emails will be collected to use these platforms, however students will be required to enter their first name or a nickname to join the session with a teacher provided code.
