Beginner - Intermediate Level
This class is designed to help students in grades first through fifth who might be struggling with math skills. We will work one-on-one to help turn those weaknesses into strengths. We will spend the first fifteen minutes assessing the skill that needs work. The next forty minutes will be spent practicing and applying the concept. During the last five minutes, I will do a quick assessment to see how much growth has been made. Additional classes can be requested to master the topic. Topics that are included: -Adding and Subtracting -Multiplication and Division -Money -Time -Fractions -Area and Perimeter

Hello! My name is Anne Marie Blair. I have been a teacher for over 18 years. I have worked with all levels k-12 over my career. I have primarily worked in small group instructions for math and English Language Arts enrichment. I am currently a 5th grade teacher at a private school.
I have my BA in English from Siena College and my MSEd from The College of St. Rose, both located in the Albany, NY area. I have been certified in ELA and Elementary Education.
I look forward to teaching fun classes about enhance listening skills for younger learners and classes about engaging middle school students with reading. My classes will be age appropriate and will help with skills in the learners everyday lives.
I believe in a student centered class. Class materials will usually include nothing more than writing instruments, paper, crayons/markers/colored pencils, scissors, and glue. There will be a worksheet to download for most classes. My classes are not heavy in additional technology. They are designed to focus on what the students needs. My listening classes will focus on following directions and how to respond/react to the speakers. Literature classes will focus on the books students are reading. It will be a shared experience to help middle schoolers expand their reading resume.
I live in the same home my mom was raised in. I have a dog, Lily Grace, who keeps me on my toes. I enjoy reading, designing on my Cricut, and watching classic television.Reviews
