Class Experience
If you would like your student to have the class all to herself/himself, this is the right spot! This class is intended for students who would like to learn more about crochet. The student can be a beginner or proficient in the craft. If there is a particular stitch that a student wants help with, I will work on it with him/her. If there is not a particular stitch that the student has in mind, don't worry!! There are so many unique and interesting stitches that I can introduce! Examples: crochet basics, working in the round, textured projects, help reading patterns, learning abbreviations, hooks/yarn, intermediate or experienced stitches. This is a great way for the student to have time dedicated just for them to practice their craft! I will message you ahead of time about what you want to work on and discuss what you already know. Because it is a one-on-one class, we can work at whatever pace you are comfortable with! **A document camera will be used to ensure that the student will be able to see the stitches done in real time.** ****If you don't see a time that works for you, please reach out and we can try to find a time that works for us both!!**** About The Teacher: I learned to crochet in my middle school home economics class and I've been "hooked" ever since. *pun intended* :D I just did the math and that means that I have been crocheting for 20 years now. Wow! Crochet is a wonderful hobby to make something creative but also useful. I have made many items such as washcloths, shawls, scarves, stuffed toys, and blankets. Over the years, I have learned that blankets are my absolute favorite item to make. There is a crocheted blanket on every bed in my home...and on every sofa...and some are stored... I am the type of person that can not just sit and not have my hands be busy. Crochet is the perfect hobby to do while watching your favorite show for the 346th time. My hope for this class is to spark that love of crochet for every student that comes into the classroom. I hope to see you soon!

Welcome to my online classroom! Learning and meeting new people can be exciting and fun for some, but nerve-wrecking for others. This is why my classroom is a silly and relaxed place where it's ok to make mistakes and ask questions.
I have had 14 years of teaching experience in the school/home/online settings, working with students who are shy, outgoing, with special needs, ESL, and gifted. My main goal is to make sure that each student feels heard and appreciated during every class that I teach.
