This is a chance for kids to unplug and pursue something creative for one hour of their day. In this class, we will explore something your child loves within the visual arts. We can chat ahead of time to decide what subject to focus on.

Class Experience
US Grade 5 - 8
This is a one-on-one class, and your child will have my undivided attention for the full hour. We will discuss what subject within the visual arts your child would like to explore before the class and I will prepare a lesson plan based on that choice. Some examples of things we can work on at this age level: -Drawing (gesture drawing, still life work, charcoal, colored pencil technique, etc.) -Painting (color theory and mixing, abstract art, textures and mediums, acrylic painting technique, gouache technique, etc.) -Mixed media work (sculpture, combining painting and drawing techniques, etc.) -Sculpture (air-dry clay sculpting and painting, paper sculpture, etc.) -Graphic design (Canva and Procreate)
Learning Goals
Your student will take an in-depth look at a subject of their choosing within the visual arts.
To stretch your creative brain and unplug for an hour.
To have fun!

Parental Guidance
In some mediums, your child may need to use scissors or other objects. Please use caution and provide supervision if necessary.
Supply List
Material list will depend on the subject your child chooses. Once we discuss the particular subject your student would like to learn in their hour, I will provide a more specific supply list.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
