Class Experience
*This class is by request only* Please message me if you are interested. This class is meant to give tools to students who are struggling with stress. I decided to begin offering one-on-one sessions because parents have been asking for more individualized coping skills. Everyone's stress manifests in different ways, and sometimes kids need a little extra coaching with some coping tools. First off, I want to validate that it can be hard to see your child going through stress, but the fact that you are seeking resources is already a great step to helping them feel better! This class is not meant to focus on the hard things going on, but to focus on the coping tools and techniques to help. Classes will go as follows: Talk about something we are grateful for Learn and practice different coping tools and strategies Occasionally, we will use tools from the What to Do Workbook Series The tools we will go over will be some preventative tools, along with tools to use when feeling stressed. Students will be able to share if there are tools that are working better for them, and we will focus on similar tools and review tools that are helping. I believe in a student-led tutoring model so the tools I teach can be more catered to the students' needs. Parents will be able to say how many weeks they would like the class to go. I will post the tools we go over on the classroom page along with additional resources as I see fit. I'm excited to work with your student one-on-one and build their coping tool box to set them up for future success! **Please note that coping tools tutoring is not a replacement for clinical mental health treatment, or any form of therapy. This tutoring is solely to provide skills and techniques, not to focus on personal situations or experiences going on.
